Flying Fijians turns focus to Samoa, looks to improve on areas they lacked against Tonga

After their 36-20 win over Tonga last week, the Fiji Water Flying Fijians side has turned their focus now to this weekend when they take on the Manu Samoa side in Apia in round 2 of the Punjas Pacific Battle Series.

Coach Simon Raiwalui says they will be looking to work on the areas that they lacked against the Ikale Tahi side and says they really need to improve on everything and most importantly on their set pieces.

He says one of the key areas that they need to work on as well is their rucking and carries which the Tongans exposed and they want to get it fixed before the game this weekend.

The Samoans on the other hand will want to maintain their winning record after a close 24-22 win over Japan last Saturday.

Samoa, with the services of former Wallabies flyhalf Christian Leali’ifano and former All Blacks Prop Charlie Faumuina who both debuted last weekend, will also want to defend their home turf against the Flying Fijians his weekend.

The Flying Fijians will take on Samoa at 12pm Saturday in Apia, Samoa.
