The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians during their training camp yesterday

The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians will be focusing on their rucks and defence during their training camp.

Coach John McKee says he knows they have got some very good attacking players but they need to have good defence so they will be putting a lot of focus on the defence from the start of their campaign.

McKee says they have structured a different Flying Fijians programme for this year where they will set different focuses for each phase of the training.

He says leading into the Maori All Blacks games, their big focus will be around the ruck areas adding he can see this is going to be a critical area for performance in the Rugby World Cup.

Fiji plays the Maori All Blacks at 3pm next Saturday at the ANZ Stadium and you can catch the live commentary of the match on our sister station, Viti FM.

The two teams will meet again on the 20th of this month in Rotorua.
