Fiji Airways Flying Fijians team management presented a signed Flying Fijians jersey to the State Governor, Norihisa Satake and the Mayor of Akita, Motomu Hozumi during their visit to their offices.
During their visit to the Office of the State Governor, Flying Fijians coach, John McKee stated they are grateful to the people of Akita for hosting the team and also the training facilities that has been organized for them to use.
The Governor says that he enjoyed his visit to Fiji 3 years ago and he also spoke highly of Setareki Tawake and Josua Kerevi who have been great ambassadors for Fiji in Akita.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Akita, Hozumi says the giant Fiji jersey had well wishes inscribed on it and messages from the people of Akita as there is a profound relationship with Fiji through sport, training and education.
During their visit to the Office of the Mayor for Akita City, they were welcomed by over 200 staff that gave them gifts and also took selfies with Flying Fijians players, Semi Kunatani and Jale Vatubua.
Fiji will take on the Wallabies at 4.45pm next Saturday.
The Rugby World Cup kicks off next Friday as Japan takes on Russia at 10.45pm.
