The Fiji Water Flying Fijians’ final squad for the Rugby World Cup 2023 is expected to be named next week after the completion of the Punjas Pacific Battle Series this weekend.
With one game left, coach Simon Raiwalui is expected to be making changes to his squad that beat Samoa last week for this weekend’s clash against Japan as he is working around the clock to try and test out new combinations before he submits his final squad.
Raiwalui is also expected to be naming some players who have not made an appearance for the Flying Fijians this year for this decider this Saturday.
It will also be interesting to see who he will opt for to don the number 10 jersey with veteran Ben Volavola and Swire Shipping Fijian Drua flyhalf Teti Tela yet to get a run this season while Caleb Muntz has been stamping his mark in the position for the past two games.
The Flying Fijians squad to take on Japan is expected to be named today.
The Flying Fijians will take on Japan at 10.15pm in Tokyo.
