It’s been a really good buildup for us, and having the boys together for eight weeks already gives us a really good chance to work on things that you probably don’t do in small campaigns.
Those were the words of Fiji Water Flying Fijians assistant coach Glen Jackson as the team continues its preparation ahead of the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Jackson says it was great for the team to record a win in Twickenham last week against England and has given them a fair bit of confidence.
He says the win was “pretty surreal” as it was one of their goal to make history and beat England on their home ground en route to the World Cup.
Jackson says this is definitely the biggest build-up they have had and it’s needed to prepare them for such a big tournament.
The Flying Fijians will kick off their RWC campaign against Wales on the 11th of next month at 7am.
The RWC will begin next week with the All Blacks playing hosts France at 7.15am
