The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians is focusing on defence and scrummaging as they get ready for their first pool match against the Wallabies in the Rugby World Cup.
Speaking from Japan, Coach John McKee stresses that they have to get their defence right against a strong and high paced outfit like the Wallabies.
The Fiji team was hosted to dinner by Toyota Shokki in Akita City last night.
McKee thanked coach, Rob Penny and the team from Toyota Shokki for joining Fiji this week for their pre World Cup camp.
Penny says this truly represents what rugby is all about – where two different teams with different cultures come together and enjoy each other’s company and then there is fierce competition in rugby and then after that they are back to enjoying each other’s company.
Fiji is pooled with Australia, Wales, Uruguay and Georgia.
Fiji takes on the Wallabies at 4.45pm next Saturday.
