Rugby fans in Nadi are in for an action-packed day as several Fiji Water Flying Fijians and Swire Shipping Fijian Drua players gear up for the inaugural Sun Bell Drua 10s tournament, which kicks off today at Prince Charles Park.
The tournament will feature two Drua teams competing against six provincial teams, showcasing some of Fiji’s finest emerging talent.
Fans can look forward to watching stars like Simione Kuruvoli, Inia Tabuavou, Vilive Miramira, Mesu Dolokoto, Kemu Valetini, Epeli Momo, and Ilaisa Droasese donning the Drua jerseys.
The two Drua teams, named Drua Blue and Drua Green have been bolstered with local players from FRU’s High-Performance Unit to provide them with valuable exposure.
The competition consists of eight teams divided into two pools, playing a total of 17 matches, including the semi-finals and the final.
To ensure an intense and fast-paced experience, matches will have 8-minute halves with a 3-minute halftime break.
The action is scheduled to wrap up by 5 p.m., allowing fans to interact with their favourite Drua and provincial players and for teams to return home on time.
The tournament kicks off at 9am at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
