Flood waters have entered in Qelewaqa Labasa due to continuous heavy rain from this morning. One of the house owners Ashwin Narayan says many of their household items including food have been destroyed as well.
Narayan says this is the second time flood waters have entered their house which is mainly caused by drainage issues.
He says even the main roads are blocked as well.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Roads Authority has confirmed that Urata Low-Level Crossing, Urata Road, Konasami Low-Level Crossing, Nabita Low-Level Crossing, Nasigasiga Road, Vunivere Low-Level Crossing, Kawakawavesi Road, Seaqaqa, Nabilodra Low-Level Crossing, Namuavoivoi Road, Qawa Low-Level Crossing, Boubale Road, Bulileka, Banikea Crossing, Banikea Kauvula Road, Zailav Crossing, Zailav Road, Batiri, Seaqaqa, Wairiki Crossing, Navakuru Road, Labasa, Lekutu, Bua, and Dreketi, Macuata in the Northern Divisions are all closed to traffic.
