A flood warning remains in force for low-lying areas and small streams for the whole of Fiji.
The flood warning is still in place for low-lying areas adjacent and downstream of Rakiraki town, Nausori town, Rewa bridge station, Navolau station, Wainibuka river, Wailotua and Nayavu station.
A flood alert remains in force for low-lying areas adjacent and downstream of Nabukaluka river.
The flood warning and alert for Nabukelevu and Sabata station, Navua town, Votualevu station to Nadi town, Keyasi station, Dreketi-lailai station, Dewala station, Labasa town and Toge station has been cancelled.
The water level at Rewa river was at 6.01 metres at 6am which was 1.51 metres above warning level and increasing.
The Navua river water level was 1.31 metres at 6am which was 0.69 metres above the alert level and decreasing.
The water level at the Rakiraki river was 2.65 metres at 6am which was 0.15 metres above warning level and decreasing.
The water level at Navolau station was 14.68 meters at 6am which was 8.68 meters above warning level and increasing.
The water level at Wailotua station was 14.27 meters at 6am which was 9.27 meters above warning level and increasing.
A heavy rain warning is still in force for the whole of Fiji.
The Tropical Depression was located about 200 kilometers West South-west of Nadi earlier this morning.
It is moving West South-west at about 18 Kilometers per hour.
Associated active trough of low pressure and rain bands continues to affects the country.
The depression has a low chance of developing into a Tropical Cyclone over Fiji waters.
Central division:
People are urged to limit their movement around the Navua town area.
The old Navua Hospital at the Navua Town entrance was flooded early this morning and residents at Calia were moved to Jokhan and LDS evacuation center.
Western division:
The National Disaster Management Office is advising the public to limit movement around Nadi and Rakiraki town for security and safety reasons.
Police and emergency operation officials are on the ground to ensure people evacuate to safety.
Meanwhile, Abhay Chand of Nabitu Sigatoka says the Sigatoka Town end towards Nadi is flooded and many people are stuck there.
Chand has been trying to get home from yesterday afternoon and the last time he talked to his family was last evening.
He says the Nahigatoka village is also flooded and Police are helping the people in the village.
Mohammad Salman of Yalawa, Sigatoka says Yalawa Road, Kavanagasau Road and Nalaqi School Road are flooded.
Roads Update:
Kings road remains closed as several crossings in Wainibuka and Rakiraki are flooded.
People are also advised that there are single lanes for most places along the Kings and Queens highway.
Princess Road near Sawani is still flooded and is closed to traffic.
Many houses were affected in the Western Division as a result of flooding due to continuous heavy rain.
Ra:
Divisional Planning Officer West Sitiveni Tavaga says there were a total of 14 villages and settlements that were affected in the Ra province.
Tavaga says some of the villages were partly affected while some were underwater.
He says Rakiraki town can also be accessed now as flood waters have receded.
However, Tavaga says that the town can only be accessed from the road from Tavua to Rakiraki as the road from Rakiraki town to Korovou is still closed due to flooding in some areas.
The sun is now out in Rakiraki.
Tavua:
Tavua Town is cleared and the only reports of flooding so far are at Qalela and Yaladro roads.
The sun is also out in Tavua.
Ba:
Ba has no reports of flooding however water levels are steadily rising as they experienced heavy rain this morning.
Tavaga says they are monitoring the situation.
Nadi:
Nadi Town can also be accessed but they are also monitoring the Nadi area for flood reports.
He says flooding is possible in Nadi because the Navo and Nadi rivers are steadily rising along with the Qeleloa river.
Tavaga confirms that Namotomoto village was flooded last night due to heavy rain.
Sigatoka:
The Sigatoka River level is slowly rising.
Tavaga confirms that he has sent out one of his teams to assess the damages in the Western Division after the Tropical Depression.
