Please continue to remain on high alert if you live in low lying areas.
A flash flood alert remains in force for low lying areas and areas adjacent to rivers and streams for Vanua Levu and low lying areas and small streams from Serua coastal areas to Togalevu and is now in force for low lying areas and small streams from Ba to Rakiraki in Viti Levu.
A strong wind warning is in force for land areas of the Eastern half of Vanua Levu, Taveuni, nearby smaller islands and the Lau Group.
There is a heavy rain alert in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands and the Northern Lau Group.
The rain is being brought by a trough of low pressure that is expected to affect the country till Friday.
Accompanying this trough of low pressure is another shallow low-pressure system.

Meanwhile, Tropical disturbance TD04F is still lingering to the North of New Caledonia.
Another low is located to the East of Vanuatu.
TD04F may merge with the low near Vanuatu and possibly become a tropical cyclone as it moves East to lie between Fiji and Vanuatu later this week.
