A flight training airplane hit a hard landing at the Nadi Airport this morning.
The tricycle gear general aviation airplane belonging to Advance Aviation (Fiji) Limited Pilot Training School suffered a nose wheel collapse.
Only the pilot was on the aircraft and he was not injured.
The pilot was taken to Namaka Health Centre for observation and was cleared by the doctor.
A report of the incident was received by the Department of Civil Aviation at 8.34am today.
A crash alarm was activated by the Control Tower and the AFL Rescue Fire Services immediately responded to the alarm.
No domestic or international schedules have been affected.
An investigation into the cause of the incident has started.
