Flash Flood and Heavy Rain warning remains in force for Fiji

Low Pressure expected to weaken later today

A Flash Flood Warning remains in force for flash flood-prone areas, adjacent to a small stream and low-lying crossing for Fiji while the Heavy Rain Warning remains in force for the whole of Fiji.

The Nadi Weather Office says a Strong Wind Warning remains in force for the land areas of Yasawa, Lau and Lomaiviti Groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, and Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Southwest and Eastern Viti levu, Rakiraki, Tailevu, Nasinu, Nausori, Costal Suva-Lami, Coral Coast to Navua, Sigatoka and Korolevu.

An active trough of low pressure lies slowly moving over the country and is expected to gradually weaken from later today.

The associated clouds and rain/showers are expected to affect the group till the next few days.
