A Flash Flood Warning is in force for all flash flood prone areas, small streams and low lying areas of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu and a Heavy Rain Warning is in force for the whole of Fiji group.
The Nadi Weather Office says Tropical Disturbance 12F lies to the west of Vanuatu and the associated trough of low pressure extends towards the Northwest of Fiji and is anticipated to drift south and affect the group from later today until Sunday.
They say rain is expected to develop in the afternoon and become frequent and heavy from later today.
Low-lying and flood-prone locations may experience flash floods as a result of localized heavy rainfall.
Gusty winds are possible during heavy falls and thunderstorms.
They say the ground is saturated with continuous rain over the past couple of days which increases the risk of flash flooding and also landslides.
