Five people have died in a shooting at a bank in Louisville, Kentucky.
One of those killed was the suspected shooter, who police believe was a former employee of the bank.
Eight people were injured and have been taken to hospital, including two police officers.
The Kentucky governor Andy Beshear fought back tears as he spoke about close friends of his who had been killed in the incident.
Witnesses told US media the gunman opened fire in the bank's conference room.
The public is being urged to stay away from the 300-block area of East Main.
