Five fishermen are currently missing at sea in Lau

Five fishermen from Mabula village in Cicia, Lau are currently missing at sea.

Police say the fishermen left at 6pm yesterday in a fibreglass boat to fish at Cakaucau reef and failed to return.

The five people that are still missing are 46-year-old Senituri Batirau, 27-year-old Tevita Dakuna, 27-year-old Jijiwa Taroko, 36-year-old Cakacaka Ledua and 42-year-old Sakiusa Tuga who is the Captain.

People are requested to keep a lookout and report any sighting to the Police Search and Rescue Centre on 3318529 or 9905296
