The Ministry of Strategic Planning has set out the criteria for the first time home builders who want to get $10,000 grant from the government.
Permanent Secretary, Pita Wise said they are awaiting approval from the Attorney General’s office and the plan is to target those who will be building homes in Tacirua and Waila housing areas.
However he stated that people who are thinking of building homes in other states can also apply.
According to Wise, the assistance given will be strictly monitored.
Government has allocated $10 million for this project.
