A fire at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa has been contained and extinguished, with no injuries reported.
Resort General Manager Carey Osborne says the location of the fire was a back-of-house storeroom with no guest rooms affected.
Osborne says as a precaution, a small number of guests were successfully evacuated from nearby rooms.
She says they remain committed to maintaining practices and standards that adhere to strict safety and security regulations, ensuring the well-being, safety, and security of the guests and team members as their top priority.
The General Manager says they are unable to confirm cost of damages, however the fire was contained to a small area.
She says the resort is co-operating fully with the local fire authorities.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
