File of the man possibly facing several counts of rape to be submitted to the DPP’s Office on Monday

Police say the man who was earlier taken in for questioning in relation to a separate cyber crime investigation, is now possibly facing several counts of rape however he did not appear in court today as the DPP’s Office wants more action to be taken.

The case file is expected to be submitted to the DPP’s Office on Monday, and the man has been released from custody.

Police had earlier said that the man will appear today after he was charged with 5 counts of rape.

Meanwhile the man had alleged that he was paid by the National Federation Party and the suspended SODELPA for posting fake news on facebook pages like Fiji Exposed Forum.

Police say that investigation is still underway.
