Attorney General Graham Leung has raised concerns over the litter crisis in the country, saying that everything starts at home and this must stop.
The Attorney General was passing through Caubati yesterday while visiting one of his staff members who was celebrating Eid following the holy month of Ramadan and described the rubbish in the area as shocking.
He adds that the town council and enforcement agencies have their work cut out for them.
He urged Fijians to wake up and take pride in their country and streets, noting that many neighbourhoods have similar piles of rubbish along the roadside, with overgrown grass verges that have not been maintained for some time.
