The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side has finished 5th in the HSBC Hong Kong 7s Women’s competition after defeating Canada 19-15 tonight.
Fiji scored a total of three tries and two conversions to win the match while Canada scored three unconverted tries.
It was a tight match-up in the first half as the first points of the match were scored in the 5th minute by Canada through an unconverted try by Krissy Scurfield before Fiji replied with a converted try to speedster Helena Young at the stroke of halftime to lead 7-5.
Fiji Scored two more tries through Meredani Qoro and Younis Bese and a conversion from Ana Maria Naimasi to lead 19-5.
Canada also scored 2 more unconverted tries through Piper Logan and Fancy Bermudez for the final score.
The Women’s Cup Final between NZ and the USA will be at 10.13 tonight.
The Men’s Cup Final between NZ and France will kick off at 10.53 tonight.
