Fijiana a win away from playing back to back cup finals

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team is a win away from playing in back to back cup finals in the World 7s series.

The side was impressive on the first day with three wins from three matches.

Fiji beat Ireland 24-19 in their first match before defeating USA 21-10.

They defeated Great Britain 17-15 this morning.

Alowesi Nakoci scored twice in the match while the impressive Reapi Uluinasau also scored a try.

Fijian will take on France at 8.29pm in their last group match.

In other matches, Russia beat Spain 38-17, Australia thrashed Canada 51-0, USA beat Ireland 19-12 while Spain beat Canada 12-10.

The top two teams from each pool will play in the final.

The women’s final will be played at 2.56am tomorrow.
