After sweeping aside all of their Australian opponents to win rugby's Super W competition at their first attempt, right now there is no guarantee that the Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua will return to defend their title next year.
Agreement has yet to be reached between the Fiji Rugby Union, Rugby Australia and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The FRU Chief Executive John O'Connor says talks are ongoing and he's hopeful of a positive outcome.
O'Connor says the FRU is cautious because after the men's Drua team won Australia's National Rugby Championship in 2018 that competition was subsequently scrapped.
