The Fijiana Drua created history tonight in Australia’s Super W competition thrashing the Melbourne Rebels 66-5 at Endeavour Hills in Melbourne in their opening match of the competition.
Ten tries were scored by the Fijiana Drua in the match.
Fullback Roela Radiniyavuni scored three tries while Kolora Lomani scored a double.
Flyhalf Merewalesi Rokouono kicked seven conversions.
The first try for the Drua was scored by Jiowana Sauto in the 9th minute while Radiniyavuni scored the final try for the Drua in the 73rd minute.
This was the Fijiana Drua’s first match in any tournament since the extended squad was named more than two years ago while the Melbourne Rebels are a very experienced side that has been playing together for the past 3 years.
