Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua centre Raijeli Laqeretabua says the win against the NSW Waratahs last week was a great moment for the team, however, there is a bigger picture for them in the future.
The former Saracens winger joined the Drua in February this year for the Super W competition.
She says for them, it is about building and learning as it is the first time for them to play against overseas teams.
Laqeretabua has paternal links to Tailevu and maternal links to Nadroga and they moved to the UK when she was a young girl.
She says she knew joining the team will be a challenge because of the language barrier and a new culture but the girls pulled her out of her comfort zone.
The Fijiana Drua centre says she has learned a lot about the Fijian culture since joining the team.
The Fijiana Drua are so far unbeaten in the Super W competition and lead the points table with 20 points.
This is the first time they are participating in the competition.
The Fijiana Drua play the Brumbies at 7.15pm Saturday.
