Fijian students in Hubei Province, China safe

China’s Ambassador to Fiji, Qian Bo says they are in the process of arranging a virtual conference with Chinese health experts and medical experts in Fiji and the South Pacific to discuss the region’s preparedness for Novel Coronavirus which is now known as COVID-19.

 He has also confirmed that there are currently eight Fijian students in Hubei Province, China.

He says these Fijian students are all in good condition and are being taken care of by the Chinese Government. 

He adds that there are also about 130 other Fijians in other provinces in China and they are safe.

Bo says he has been in contact with the Fijian Embassy in China and they have been discussing the best way to protect and help Fijians in China.  

He has also spoken out against the racism the Asian community is facing because people lack of knowledge about the coronavirus which is now known as COVID-19.
