NRL players including the many Fijian players playing in the competition have one last week to prove to their coaches they have what it takes to start when Round 3 kicks off next Thursday.

The competition has been suspended since Round 2 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

NRL.com has analysed how each squad is shaping up heading into the proposed return date.

It is predicting based on available data and squad information that Suliasi Vunivalu and Tui Kamikamica look set to start for Melbourne Storm while Maika Sivo and Waqa Blake are set to start for the Paramatta Eels.

Daniel and Jacob Safiti also look set to start for the Newcastle Knights, based on a predicated squad list by NRL.com.

Viliame Kikau and Api Koroisau are also favourites to start for the Panthers when the competition resumes.

Round 3 of the NRL competition kicks off next Thursday when the Paramatta Eels take on Broncos at 7.50pm.
