A group of Fijian abattoir workers who came to the aid of several people impacted by flooding in South East Queensland earlier this year were recognized for the efforts in Brisbane last night.
Australian Minister for International Development and the Pacific, Zed Seselja met the Fijian workers during the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and the Brumbies match and thanked them for the heroics.
He acknowledged the Fijian workers from Lismore for their selfless acts of kindness and bravery who rescued aged care residents during the floods.
