The Fijian Elections Office has started packing materials for the pre‑poll voting which will begin next Monday.
Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem says that they have started packing materials for the Northern Division, then move to the Eastern, Western and the Central Division.
There will be 582 polling venues for pre‑poll while there will be 587 polling stations.
Saneem says they hope to finish packing materials for pre‑poll by tomorrow afternoon after which they will begin packing materials for polling day which is November, 14th.
Saneem also confirmed that the total number of voters eligible to vote is 630,862.
He says that 550,580 voters are eligible to vote on Election Day, 10,816 voters are eligible for Postal Voting while 69,466 voters are eligible for Pre‑Poll.
Saneem adds that the final voters list will be prepared by Thursday and given to the political parties.
There will be 854 polling venues and 1,567 polling stations for elections day.
