Fijian Elections Office 2 weeks away from beginning registration of voters overseas

The Fijian Elections Office is two weeks away from beginning the registration of voters overseas.

A statement says plans have already been put in place and the process of finalizing a lot of the venues is underway with the help of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The requirements for registration is a valid Fiji Passport and the person has to be over the age of 18 years.

The Fijian Elections Office had requests for persons who now hold Certificates of Citizenship as to whether they are entitled to register and having considered the validity of a Certificate of Citizenship and it has now decided that it will accept Certificates of Citizenship for registration purposes.
