Exciting news for Fijian rugby fans as the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will host 7 home games in the 2024 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.
For the first time, the Fijian Drua will host the NSW Waratahs and the Western Force on home soil, while top sides returning to play in Fiji include defending champions Crusaders, Hurricanes, Moana Pasifika, Queensland Reds and Melbourne Rebels.
Venues for the Drua’s home matches will be released shortly but fans can expect another action-packed 2024 season, with top-class rugby from some of the most talented rugby players on the planet.
The Fijian Drua will kick off its season in Auckland against the Blues on 23rd February 2024.
They will then play Moana Pacifika in round 2 in Melbourne, before heading back home to host the Crusaders on 9th March and will head to Hamilton to meet the Chiefs on 16th March.
The team returns home for back-to-back matches against the Tahs on 24th March and Western Force on 30th March.
The Rebels host Drua on 6th April and the team returns to host Hurricanes on 19th April and Moana Pasifika on 27th April.
After two away games against the Brumbies (4th May) and Western Force (11th May), the Drua will host the Reds in Fiji on 18th May.
The last away match will be against Highlanders on 26th May, before the final regular season match Fiji against Melbourne Rebels on the 1st of June.
Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans says they will begin formal pre-season training for 2024 shortly but all Drua players are currently engaged in training and various competitions.
Evans says this includes the 18 main squad players currently with the Flying Fijians for the Rugby World Cup, players playing in the Skipper Cup competition in Fiji and club competitions in Australia and New Zealand.
The Fijian Drua will play a total of 14 games in the 2024 season.
