The Fiji Women’s Hockey team held 18th-ranked Malaysia to a 4-4 draw in the Women’s Hockey World Cup in Oman.

However Fiji did not manage to progress through to the cup quarterfinals due to points difference which saw Malaysia progress through as the second best team from their pool.

The results did not deter their performance as the Fiji hockey team managed to bounce back and record their 2nd win against Zambia 6-3 in the 9th to 16th placing.
