The Fiji soccer team has registered their second win in the Pacific Games thumping Kiribati 9-0.

Roy Krishna scored a hat trick with two goals from Maciu Dunadamu and Alvin Singh while Avinesh Swamy and Alvin Avinesh scored a goal each.

Meanwhile, the Fiji basketball experienced a win and a loss yesterday in their first game.

The men's team comfortably defeated Samoa 80-61 while the women's team lost 53-56 to Papua New Guinea.

The Fiji basketball men's team will play against American Samoa at 6pm this evening.

The Fiji baseball team got off to a good start beating American Samoa 8-2 yesterday but the real test will come this afternoon at 4pm when they will play Guam.

At 6pm the Fiji women's volleyball team will play their opening game against Tonga.

Looking at the medal tally,

Defending Pacific Games Champion, New Caledonia is in the lead in the overall medal tally with 5 gold and 1 silver after they dominated the swimming competition last night.

Tahiti is in second place with 4 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze while PNG lie in 3rd spot with 3 gold and 1 silver.

Team Fiji is in 4th place with 3 bronze.
