“The feedback from South Korea regarding the selling of Fiji sugar is a positive sign.”
This is the comment made by Director of Sugar Viliame Gucake after the Chairman of Paradise Bio Sugar Lee Gyu said that Fiji sugar is a hot commodity in South Korea markets.
Gucake says the positive feedback was out of the 8,000 tonnes they sold to South Korea.
He adds that they are trying to attract markets outside the European Union as the sugar quota between European Union and Fiji sugar ends in September 2017.
Meanwhile, Paradise Bio Sugar is exporting Fiji’s raw sugar to South Korea under a special arrangement with the Fiji Sugar Corporation.
