The Flying Fijians have lost to Samoa 26-29 in their second Pacific Nations Cup clash.
Fiji started strongly in the first half with a try to Nemia Kenatale, Netani Talei and two penalties from Setareki Koroilagilagi.
But Samoa dominated the second half scoring three tries to Alifato Faosiliva and two tries to captain David Lemi.
Flying Fijians prop Viliame Veikoso scored the last try but was not enough to earn them a victory.
Captain Netani Talei said they did not play the full 80 minutes.
In another match yesterday, Tonga beat Japan 24-20.
Samoa now leads the points table with 8 points followed by Fiji in second place with 5 points.
