Fiji men's soccer team qualifies for bronze medal playoff at the Pacific Games

The Fiji Men’s soccer team has qualified for the Pacific Games bronze medal playoff after their 4 all draw against the Solomon Islands.

Early goals from Patrick Joseph and Samuela Drudru had put the side in a commanding lead before Solomon Islands pulled one back.

Captain Roy Krishna scored the team’s third goal to put them 3‑1 ahead at the break.

Krishna scored second goal after the break but Solomon Islands managed to level the tie soon after.

The Bula Boys will play Papua New Guinea in bronze medal playoff at 8am tomorrow while New Zealand u23 will play New Caledonia in the gold medal final at 11am on the same day.

The Vodafone national women's football team will play in the Bronze medal play off after beating Tonga 3‑1 in their final pool match.

Samoa defeated New Caledonia 3‑2 to book spot in the Gold/Silver medal play‑off after leading the pool.
