Fiji is known to have one of the best policy frameworks when it comes to women’s empowerment in the Pacific region and it has taken great strides in not only promoting women’s financial inclusion, resilience and entrepreneurship through various policies – but has done so in the areas of gender-based violence and improving women’s access to services which are contributing factors to women’s economic empowerment.
This were the sentiments shared by Ministry Permanent Secretary, Eseta Nadakuitavuki, when opening the second session of the Women Entrepreneurs Business Council Women Invigorating the Nation Convention at the Grand Pacific Hotel.

She says that the WEE NAP has the potential to serve as a vital national policy measure and road-map, which will translate aspirations for improved access to services, resources, information and decent work into tangible results for all Fijian women.
