Fiji fortunate to have close partnership with Korea - Konrote

President Jioji Konrote says Fiji considers itself very fortunate to have a close partnership with Korea and is keen to enhance its relations and bilateral cooperation.

Konrote made these comments while presenting the Order of Fiji Award to the outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Fiji Kim Seong‑In during a special investiture ceremony held at Borron House.

Konrote acknowledged Seong’s efforts in enhancing the relations between the two countries.

The head of state also acknowledged Korea’s assistance towards the construction of the Biomass facility in Sigatoka that will help Fiji towards achieving the electricity target of achieving one hundred percent renewable energy by 2030.

The investiture ceremony was attended by the Minister for Defence and National Security Ratu Inoke Kubuabola and other government representatives.
