The Vodafone Fiji Under 20 side finished 10th in the Junior Rugby World Championship after losing to Argentina 43-22 in the 9th-place playoffs earlier this morning.
Fiji started the game well where hooker Kavaia Tagivetaua scored the first try in the 7th minute for an early 5-0 lead before Argentina leveled the score to 5-all with a try in the 11th minute.
Flyhalf Philip Baselala was yellow carded in the 17th minute for foul play which gave Argentina the advantage to score two more tries.
The Baby Pumas scored 2 more tries before halftime to extend the lead to 29-5.
Fiji scored the first try again in the second spell through centre Epeli Waqaicece but Argentina was awarded a penalty try 5 minutes later.
Fullback Isikeli Basiyalo scored two more tries for Fiji to bring the score up to 22-36 before Argentina scored the final try in the 68th minute for the win.
It was also a game of cards as Fiji copped three yellow cards to Baselala, Timoci Nakalevu and Isireli Masiwini in the 17th, 47th and 76th minute respectively.
Argentina also copped two yellow cards and 1 red card in the 40th, 42nd and 73rd minute respectively.
Meanwhile, France defended their title for the third year in a row after thrashing Ireland 50-14 in the Cup Final.
