The Fiji Airways Men’s 7s team have beaten South Africa 12-7 in a tough quarterfinal encounter and have progressed to the semifinals to face Pacific rivals, Samoa.
Joseva Talacolo scored the first try for Fiji in the first half, followed by Jerry Matana who scored under the posts and extended Fiji’s lead to 12–0 at half time.
Siviwe Soyizwapi hit back for South Africa in the second half with a converted try.

The South Africans were relentless in their attack, however the Fijians managed to hold off the onslaught till the last minute.
Fiji will battle it out against Samoa in the first cup semifinal at 7.45pm.
The cup final kicks off at 11pm tonight.
