Fiji born Ilaisa Droasese is among five academy players who have been handed contracts with the Queensland Reds.
Droasese moved to Brisbane in 2018 and was also in the sights of the NRL after an outstanding Junior Rugby World Cup with Fiji.
He represented Fiji at both Schoolboys and U20s level and was named the best player in the U19s division at the 2018 Coral Coast 7s.
Droasese played for Queensland Country U19s before he was selected for Brisbane City in the National Rugby Championship under Reds assistant coach Jim McKay.
Reds Head Coach Brad Thorn says they are excited to have these players in their program for the next two years.
