The Fiji Netball team recorded their first win in the World Netball Championship beating Wales 48 points to 38 in their last pool game this evening.
Fiji led 27-17 at halftime and they increased the tempo of the game in the second half to come away with a win.
Maria Lutua replaced veteran, Seruwaia Vonolagi at goal shooter and did not let coach Unaisi Rokoura down.
Wales under the leadership of former Fiji coach Melissa Walker did not have any answer to the national side onslaught.
Captain Matila Waqanidrola was happy with the win and the way the girls played their heart out.
Fiji will take on Singapore for the 9th to 16th playoff tomorrow at 5.15pm.
