Fiji has beaten South Africa 28-7 in the HSBC Los Angeles 7s quarter final, and will now meet Argentina in the first semi final at 10.14am today.
It was a scrappy start as both sides tested each others defence but Magic Man Iowane Teba, eventually broke through for Fiji’s first try in the corner which was successfully converted by Waisea Nacuqu for Fiji to lead 7-0.
Teba scored again from a scrum set-piece to dot down under the sticks which was converted to extend Fiji’s lead to 14-0 at half-time.
Jerry Tuwai scored to extend the lead to 21-0.
Ryan Oosthuizen of South Africa was sin-binned due to a high tackle.
