The Fiji Red Cross Society is always the first to respond, always ready and always there in times of need.

This was highlighted by Fiji Red Cross Society Director General, Filipe Nainoca when he launched the Red Cross National Street Appeal this morning.

Nainoca says that they have been on the streets since last Saturday and they will continue to do so till the 29th of this month.

He also revealed that the 16 branches and the National Office staff including volunteers will be shaking their coin collection cans in every town and city.

Nainoca says that the Fiji Red Cross is all about helping the vulnerable and providing immediate relief in times of emergencies and disasters.

According to Nainoca he says that they always strive to be first on the scene providing help, relief, comfort and solace after a disaster.
