Fiji Red Cross distributes 750 relief items to people affected by TC Tino in Lau Group

The Fiji Red Cross society has distributed 750 relief items to the people affected by Tropical Cyclone Tino in the Lau Group last month.

Operations Manager, Patiliai Leqa says over a thousand people have been assisted in areas Oneata, Moce, Fulaga, Ogea, Komo, Kabara, Namuka-I-Lau and Ono - I – Lau.

Leqa says their teams have distributed 350 mosquito nets, 100 water containers, 100 dignity kits which is designed for the health of women and girls, 100 hygiene kits and 100 solar lambs altogether.

He says there were other governments and non- governmental organizations that assisted them in distributing relief items to the people of Lau Group.
