The Fiji National Rugby League is reviewing all its domestic and international events it plans to host in Fiji and overseas.
FNRL says they fully support the governments effort to detect, contain and mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic, as the health of the players and the rugby league community remains paramount.
They say they have postponed the 2020 Vodafone Cup competition which was scheduled for the 25th of next month to the 18th of July.
They also stated the Ron Masey Cup competition that has just started is now cancelled and all future home and away matches remain doubtful as they are awaiting the outcome of the NSW Rugby League meeting.
Also, the Fiji Secondary School Boys New Zealand Tour has been cancelled as Australia and New Zealand have announced a mandatory 14 days isolation for travellers arriving into both countries.
FNRL says for the Vodafone Trophy and Vodafone Shield competition it will proceed this weekend.
They say Vodafone Trophy quarterfinals will be held at Garvey Park and Tavua College this week and in the northern division, the Vodafone Primary Schools Dreketi Gala will take place at Maramarua District School.
The organisation stated that they are working with the Ministry of Education regarding schools competition.
