The Fiji Men's National 7s extended squad is currently preparing for their matches against Australia and New Zealand in Australia before the 2021 Olympic Games in Japan.
The extended squad include players like Meli Derenalagi, Jiuta Wainiqolo, Jerry Tuwai, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Kalione Nasoko, Kitione Taliga, Kaminieli Rasaku, Nasoni Tulavu, Alasio Naduva, Waisea Nacuqu, Josua Vakurunabili, Rusiate Nasove, Livai Ikanikoda, Napolioni Ratu and Asaeli Tuivuaka.
The squad has been training at Albert Park, Bidesi Park and the Sigatoka Sand Dunes.
The national men's squad members also took their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Vodafone Arena this afternoon.
Coach Gareth Baber says taking the vaccine is very important as it will keep the players safe when travelling overseas.
He says they do not want to get the players sick since most of them are aiming for the tournament in Japan.
Baber is expected to name the team that will take Fiji to the Olympic Games by the end of June or early July.
The 2021 Olympic Games will be held from the 23rd of July to the 8th of August.
