The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team has hit the ground running in Cape Town with the team regrouping in a training session today.
Fiji Rugby says the team was regrouping, reinforcing and ready for the Cape Town 7s.
All players looked to be in good shape and were well involved in the training session.
Pictures by Fiji Rugby showed Coach Gareth Baber working separately with a group of players.
Some of the players in that group were Waisea Nacuqu, Kavekini Tabu and Sevuloni Mocenacagi.
Defence and discipline were major challenges for the national team in the Dubai 7s and it was directly related to the six yellow cards the team received.
Most of those yellow cards were given because of deliberate knock-ons.
The team missed an average of 9 tackles per match and scored a total of 17 tries in 4 matches in the Dubai 7s.
Fiji is the defending champion of the Cape Town 7s.
