The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team have set their sight on winning the Dubai 7s next week at any cost to kick start their 2023-2024 HSBC SVNS campaign on a positive note.

Fiji 7s lanky forward Joseva Talacolo says not winning any tournament in the last series has motivated them to turn things around this year.

He says they are working hard and they have set their target on winning the Dubai 7s next week before heading to Cape Town the following week. Talacolo says that even though there are a lot of new players joining the squad it does not stop them from achieving their target and that is to have a great start to the new season.

Fiji is in pool C alongside the USA, France and Great Britain. Fiji will take on the USA at 6.06pm next Friday, they will then play France at 9.52pm before playing Great Britain at 4am Sunday in their final pool match. The cup quarter finals will begin at 6.58pm Sunday, the cup semi finals will kick off at 10.04pm Sunday and the final will be at 3.53am Monday.
