The Fiji Higher Education Commission has established itself as the first external quality assurance agency for tertiary education to be entered in the Regional Register.
This means that the Fiji Higher Education Commission is now a body that is also responsible for safeguarding standards and improving the quality of higher education not only Fiji but also regionally.
The quality assurance review would also help develop students who are better prepared for the workforce when they come out of tertiary institutions.
An international team appointed by the Asia Pacific Quality Register (APQR) visited the institution to review their operations at the invitation of the Commission.
The review panel will make a report with recommendations.
The report will also include suggestions for further improvements.
