The Fiji Higher Education Commission and the Fiji Employers Federation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together and address the issue of skills gap in the country.
The MoU signed between the two parties was to establish and promote a collaborative and working relationship for the advancement of their mutual education goals.
Fiji Higher Education Commission Director Linda Aumua says two minds coming together in the development of qualifications is important especially in meeting the training needs of the nation.
The Fiji Employers Federation will identify the need of the industry with regard to skills demand while the Fiji Higher Education Commission will work to develop the related national qualifications.
